First things first....I have been a meteorologist for about 20 years now, have used every vendors radar at one time or another, and your software amazes me at how far we have come. I started watching weather with a TRS 80 and can't believe I can now have use of any Nexrad site in the states from my home or laptop. Having said that, a tweak to consider may be a "DROP SPECIFIC RADAR LEVELS" to rid of clutter late in the day. I wouldn't worry with metar data, would only cause clutter. If someone wants temp data there are a million sites out there for that. You are a "pretty" basemap away from being competitive with a lot of large radar vendors, be proud and keep it simple.

Perhaps a "delay at end of loop" function or "Loop Speed" would also be nice.

Perhaps make certain ranges on the Dbz scale "invisible"... For example, if you choose to "get rid off" all echoes <30dbz in times of a storm embedded heavily in ground clutter/AP. The only way to do this now is to make a seperate color table for this, and load it.

In other words, sounds like we need a "filter" command similar to the WSR-88D/NEXRAD PUP or Open PUP.

Wouldn't be too hard to do... this software is amazing, just needs little tweeks. Nearly as nice as having a real PUP right in front of me.

You can create a color table that excludes dbZ values (or any values for any product) you don't want to see on the display. Just load it up when you want.

What would be the possibility of adding the RHI feature to GRLevel 3? Either that or extend the current reflectivity levels for higher slices. I like to view the 55dbz heights. Both 2 and 3 are great software packages and I am torn between which is the best. Of course there is Mesoanalyst...but I'm afraid if I download it and take it for a "testdrive"...I would be in peril of having to explain the expenditure to my "Minister of Finance." How does it go?..."ignorance is bliss."

You're in the GRL2 request section - in any case I answered this in your other post.
